In collaboration with Efrain Rozas (vocals, percussion, electronics on tracks 3, 5 and 6), Oliver Lewis (vocals, percussion, electronics on tracks 1 and 4), and La Lá (Giovanna Nuñez) does vocals on track 4.

All tracks recorded and mixed by Mono, and compiled and edited by Mono y Banana in Lima, Peru (2008-2010). Tracks 2, 4, 7 and 8 mastered by Oliver Lewis.

Mono and Banana met in Lima, Peru in June 2008 when a series of synchronicities aligned their paths. Banana, a Canadian-Peruvian pianist and singer from Montreal, was delighted to begin collaborating with Mono, a Peruvian multi-instrumentalist originally from Piura, who had recently innovated several musical electronic instruments, such as the Quipu De Luz, the Light Theremin, and the Magic Sound Blanket. They began jamming and performing in Lima in 2008 with Mono's experimental arsenal, and continued recording and performing with other electronic set-ups in 2010. During this time they created the beautiful and bizarre musical excursions that you hear in this album, Mamiferos y Frutas.

Mono y Banana feel that they belong to some unseen international tribe of young musicians who are interested in the fusion between the real, the surreal, the electronic and the human. Their alliance across the geographic reaches of the Americas has been inspiring and uplifting for them. On their musical journey, they also collaborated with their close friends: Peruvian researcher and musician Efrain Rozas, Canadian musician Oliver Lewis from Montreal , and Peruvian singer La Lá (Giovanna Nuñez). Mono y Banana extend their thanks to Marty OConnor for design help, and to their friends and families.
