Haunted Clockwork Records is a surrealist and post-pop music label based in Montreal (Canada) and Berkeley (USA). Summer Solstice Compilation I is the first annual release in the solstice series, and the first compilation of many to come.

This compilation was curated by Anna Luisa Daigneault and Oliver Lewis through many Skype meetings. It has long been a dream to release a compilation of this kind, incorporating many blissful sonic excursions from friends and acquaintances in their musical communities, in honor of the summer solstice.

Many thanks to all the wonderful musical collaborators who contributed to this compilation! So many amazing and interesting people came together for this compilation, reaching across the Americas, from Montreal to Lima to San Francisco.

Thanks to Marty Pants O'Connor for technical design help in SF, and thanks to Luis Alvarado (Buh Records) in Lima for opening various inspiring sound portals that help cross-pollinate the sound world. Thanks also to the Amazon jungle for inspiring some of the tracks found on this compilation.
